We welcome original contributions from academics, researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, students, and other professionals whose work aligns with SSIMOE's mission of independent, evidence-based research. Before submitting your manuscript, please review the editorial guidelines below to ensure your article meets our publication requirements.
Before you submit
Typography and Formatting Guidelines
To ensure consistency and readability across all SSIMOE publications, contributors are requested to follow these formatting and typography requirements when preparing their manuscripts.
- Prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
- Times New Roman, 12-point font size for the main body text
- 1.5 line spacing throughout the document
- Text aligned left; avoid full justification where possible
- Bold formatting for main headings and subheadings
- Italics for emphasis, foreign words, book titles, and publication titles where appropriate
- Page numbers included in the footer
- Standard margins (2.54 cm / 1 inch on all sides)
- Tables, figures, and images clearly labelled and referenced in the text
- References and citations in a consistent style (APA, Chicago, or another recognised academic style)
