SSIMOE follows the money by comparing approved budgets with actual disbursements, sector by sector. Our work draws on national budget documents, ministry reports, and development partner disclosures to make public expenditure easier to understand and scrutinise.
Agriculture
Tracks government expenditure on agricultural development — input support, irrigation, extension services, and food security programming — against the context of South Sudan's ongoing food insecurity.
Education
Tracks spending on school infrastructure, teacher salaries and training, learning materials, and donor-funded education programming.
Infrastructure
Tracks road, energy, water, and public works spending — sectors where budget-to-delivery gaps are historically hardest to see without independent tracking.
Health
Tracks health-sector budget allocation and disbursement, including facility funding, health worker support, and donor-funded health programmes.
