We’re always looking for insightful papers and ideas that shape South Sudan’s policy and development landscape. Submit your manuscript and be part of the conversation.
Before submitting your manuscript, please review the following guidelines carefully. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may not be considered for publication.
All manuscripts must be original works that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. By submitting your work, you confirm that it represents your own research and ideas.
Manuscripts must be written in English (British English) and typed 1.5-spaced on A4-sized paper, using Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, 12-point font (except footnotes, which should be in 10-point font).
SSIMOE adopts the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition Referencing Style. Authors are required to follow this format strictly. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the APA 7th Edition style will not be processed for review.
Research papers or articles should not exceed 6,000 words, case reviews or other reviews should not exceed 4,000 words, and opinion pieces must comply with professional standards.
Each manuscript must include an abstract of 150–250 words. The abstract should be italicized, typed single-spaced, and not indented. It should summarize the introduction, objectives, methodology, key findings, conclusion, and recommendations.
SSIMOE accepts only manuscripts, articles, and opinion pieces that are relevant to South Sudan — including governance, policy, law, economics, health, education, and social development.
The Title Page (first page of the main paper) should include only the title of the paper, abstract, and introduction, excluding the author’s name or personal details. The Cover Page, submitted separately, should include the author’s full name, professional titles, institutional affiliation, qualifications, email address, and telephone number, as well as the title of the paper.
All published works remain the intellectual property of the author(s). The views expressed are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent those of SSIMOE, its Founder, or any of its Agents.
